Future Proef Award – Artevelde Laureate & Flemish Nominee

I’m proud to share that my graduation project, Green Guide Gent – Your Guide to Sustainable Ghent, won the institutional selection at Artevelde University of Applied Sciences and has been nominated for the Future Proef Award 2026 at the Flemish level.

The Future Proef Award is a Flemish competition recognising graduation projects that contribute to a more sustainable future. Each higher education institution in Flanders selects its strongest projects, and only those institutional laureates advance to compete regionally.

Being selected as the winning project within the Associate Degree in Programming at Artevelde University of Applied Sciences is already a meaningful recognition. It highlights both the sustainable relevance of Green Guide and the overall quality and impact of the work.

With Green Guide, I developed a mobile application that makes sustainability in Ghent more accessible through digital technology. The app connects local sustainable businesses and initiatives, encouraging informed and responsible choices in everyday life.

This nomination marks the next stage in the selection process, with the potential to receive recognition at the Flemish level in spring 2026.
